So I got up this morning at 4:30 am... I was exhausted. Last night I went to bed at around 8:30 pm. I slept like a baby. My husband started P90X last night and all I have to say is more power to him. His workouts are between 45 minutes to about an hour and half long. No thank you!!!!
Today, mine was about 41 minutes.
This mornings work out was Plyometric Cardio Circuit. Interval training is killer. First you start off by going at a slow/regular pace. Then you rest for 20 seconds, damn thos are the quickest 20 seconds ever. Second, you do the same exercises but at a moderate/quicker pace, rest for 20 seconds. Third, you go as fast as you can with the exercises. Now keep in mind these are the same exercises every rotation. There are at least 5 exercises in the beginning.
Then comes the stretching part. Serious stretching but like "Shawn T" says, stretching is crucial when doing these exercises. And let me tell you, he is sooooo right. I made the mistake last time to half ass the training and I pulled a few things. lol
After the stretching part comes the serious stuff. There is about 20-25 minutes left at this point of the dvd and he uses up every minute!!! He did about 8-12 exercises and it goes the same way as the first part of the dvd. Slow, moderate, fast! As hard as I am breathing and seriously sweating, I feel so much better after I take a cold/warm shower.
Tonight I am going to post a picture of my lunch from yesterday and my breakfast from today.
Today's Menu:
Breakfast: Plain bagel, reduced fat walnut honey cream cheese, 8 oz. of apple juice
2nd Meal: Strawberry yogurt, 1/2 pb & j sandwich ( I just used creamy Jiff and strawberry preserves
Lunch: Tuna salad (1 can white albacore tuna, 1 1/2 Tbsp of mayo, 1 tsp of yellow mustard, 1 dill pickle, 1 hardboiled egg, 1 Tbsp of crumbled Feta cheese, salt, pepper to taste, 1 tsp of Valentina hot sauce on Honey Whole Wheat Bread, 1 sandwich bag of Baked Lays
4th Meal: 1 cup mixed, frozen fruit (strawberries, mango, pineapple and peaches), 1/2 pb & j (just like above)
Dinner: Roasted chicken, with Asian veggies, 1/2 cup of alfredo
Key is to drink lots of water!!!! I can't tell you how much water I drink in a day but I know not to over do it. I try to drink juice(OJ or Apple or any juice that doesn't have too much sugar) so that I can get my sugar fix. I don't do Diet sodas because I think they are nasty. Not a big fan, I have tried them and I just can't get over that yucky taste.
I'm going to start walking our dog with my husband from now on. It wouldn't hurt to get a little more exercise in before I go to bed.
